ABOUT THE AUTHOR :
Manu Siddhartha is a devoted spiritual seeker and an AI professional with a deep-rooted passion for Indian mythology. His fascination with Lord Shiva and ancient Hindu scriptures led him to author the Shiv Puran Unlocked series—an ambitious three-part project aimed at decoding and simplifying complex spiritual texts like the Shiv Puran, Ling Puran, and Skand Puran for the modern reader.
Dedicated to making ancient wisdom accessible, Manu spends years studying and translating these profound teachings into structured, relatable formats. His latest work, Shiv Gita, continues this journey—bringing the timeless guidance of Mahadev to a wider audience in simple, clear language.
Manu is currently working on future volumes focused on digitizing Lord Shiva-related scriptures and making them available in multiple Indian languages. Through his books, he aims to inspire devotion, inner transformation, and a deeper connection with the divine in today's fast-paced world.
BOOK REVIEW :
After being completely absorbed by Part 1 of this series, I couldn’t wait to dive into the next installment—and trust me, Part 2 doesn’t disappoint. If the first volume introduced us to the vastness of creation and the moving story of Sati, this one draws us even closer into the heart of Shiva’s divine saga, with tales that are as human as they are cosmic.
What I particularly loved is how Manu Siddhartha continues to simplify without diluting. The book takes narratives that could easily feel overwhelming; like the grand battles of the gods and demons, the philosophical depth of Shiva’s incarnations, or the symbolism of the Jyotirlingas, and presents them with clarity and flow. Each chapter feels like it has a spiritual pulse of its own, drawing you into reflection as much as narration.
The Yuddha Khand especially stood out to me—reading about Shiva’s cosmic chariot, his war against the Tripuras, and the message behind these celestial struggles felt both thrilling and deeply symbolic. Similarly, the Sata Rudra Samhita with its exploration of Shiva’s many forms : from the half-male, half-female Ardhanarishvara to Bhairava and Virabhadra, was a reminder of how infinite and multifaceted divinity truly is.
This is not just mythology retold; it’s mythology unlocked. Every page feels like an invitation to not only read Shiva’s stories but to live their wisdom in our everyday struggles and joys.
✨If Part 1 opened the door, Part 2 takes you deeper into the sanctum. By the time you reach the end, you don’t just feel like you’ve read a book—you feel like you’ve walked alongside Parvati, rejoiced in Kartikeya’s triumphs, and stood in awe before Shiva’s cosmic dance.
