HOW TO GO KANHA NATIONAL PARK 

It will be very interesting to know that while going to Kanha you will get 3 more national parks, now the question is how are you going? So let us start.
     If you are abroad from  INDIA then please choose DR. BABASAHEB AMBEDKAR INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT [NAG] which is in NAGPUR in MAHARASHTRA.

from NAGPUR: Nagpur to Kanha National Park is near about 280 km through NH-44 and NH-53.

                           You can choose both public and private transport. (depends on your comfortability)
                           But the fact is that if you choose private transport it will take nearly 5 hours whereas if you chose public transport it will take only 7 hours. It will cost nearly $6 (415 INR) for an online bus ticket you can visit yatra.com
      Interestingly on the way to Kanha National Park from Nagpur, you will cross a famous national park namely PENCH NATIONAL PARK. The distance between the Pench National Park and Kanha is 200 km.

from JABALPUR: This airport is also known as DUMNA AIRPORT [JLR/VAJB]. The distance between Jabalpur and Kanha is 180 km. Here as well you can choose both public and private transport via Mandla district. Private transport will take near about 4 hours. 

                       Three buses are available in the morning for reaching to Kanha Time: 7am; 11am;12                 noon. Buses from Kanha to Jabalpur also available Time: 6:15 am; 8:30 am (please confirm before planning Government bus MPSRTC Bus stand phone number: 0761-2342958).

note: please do not try hitchhiking.

The nearest railway station is Gondia Railway Station. It is 145 km from Kanha.
