BOOK REVIEW :

When we think of creativity, we often imagine bursts of inspiration, artistic genius, or ideas that strike out of the blue. But what if creativity wasn’t about waiting for flashes of brilliance, what if it was a discipline, a process that anyone could learn, practice, and master?

“Design Your Thinking” by Pavan Soni is a refreshing take on one of the most powerful problem-solving approaches of our time—Design Thinking. Rooted in the pioneering work of IDEO and Stanford’s d.school, the book moves beyond the buzzword to show how this method can be applied not just in product design or tech start-ups, but across everyday life, workplaces, and even personal challenges.

What makes this book stand out is its practitioner’s perspective. Instead of lofty theories, Soni gives us a step-by-step exploration of design thinking; from understanding its tenets and tools to applying them through stages like empathy, ideation, prototyping, and scaling. Each chapter flows with clarity and examples, making complex concepts approachable and practical.

💡 Key strength: The book constantly reminds us that creativity thrives under constraints. In a world where we believe innovation requires abundant resources and extraordinary talent, this perspective is liberating. It’s about using discipline, structure, and curiosity to unlock fresh solutions; something we all can cultivate.

The appendices on toolsets, skill sets, and mindsets are especially valuable, almost like a ready reference for anyone who wants to put design thinking into practice. Whether you’re an entrepreneur, a student, a professional, or simply someone who loves solving problems creatively, this book offers actionable wisdom you can carry into daily life.

✨ Why you should read it: If you’ve ever wondered how to train your mind to think differently, innovate with purpose, and become a better problem-solver, this book is for you. It’s not just about design,it’s about designing the way you think.
