BOOK REVIEW :
Hello everyone! It’s been a while since I last updated you on a psychological thriller, but the wait is over. This is my first book by John Marrs, although I’ve heard a lot about his other works and plan to read them soon.
The plot is incredibly addictive—I finished the book in a single sitting. The storyline is set against the backdrop of a world where the population is soaring, leading to overcrowded cities and economic crises, The Family Experiment explores an innovative solution to the desire for parenthood.
Now, imagine being able to raise a child from birth to eighteen years in just nine months by paying a subscription fee in the metaverse, specifically within a reality show. The prize? You can either keep the child or take the money.
Jaw-dropping, right? It’s both thrilling and a bit frightening.
But don’t worry, as the tagline goes, "Some families are virtually perfect..."
John Marrs’ writing style is super engaging and never feels monotonous. The book includes various elements like news articles, conversations, critical interpretations, viewer chats, and cliffhangers at the end of each chapter, keeping you hooked throughout.
This book is one of the most anticipated reads of the year in its genre, and the ending is simply beautiful. If you’re looking for something different with a flavor of contemporary issues or potential future scenarios, this is the perfect read!
