ABOUT THE AUTHOR :

I'm A.J. Finn, author of THE WOMAN IN THE WINDOW -- a debut novel published in more than forty languages worldwide. A film adaptation, starring Amy Adams, Gary Oldman, and Julianne Moore, was released in 2021, and topped Netflix charts around the globe in its first weekend.

I spent a decade working in publishing in both New York and London, with a particular emphasis on thrillers and mysteries. Now I write full-time, published in the English-speaking world by my former employers. THE WOMAN IN THE WINDOW was inspired by a range of experiences: my love for suspense fiction, from the Sherlock Holmes stories I devoured as a kid to the crime novels I studied in graduate school; my interest in classic cinema, especially the films of Alfred Hitchcock; and my experience with bipolar depression.

While I value my privacy, I very much enjoy chatting with readers about books -- mine and others'! -- so please feel free to visit my Instagram page at @ajfinnbooks. And happy reading!

BOOK REVIEW :

" My head ๐Ÿง was once a filing cabinet. Now it’s a flurry of papers ๐Ÿ“‘ , floating on a draft . "

Hey , so I'm over here again with another one insight of a amazing book. My initial impressions is if you want to read a book on psychothriller ...my people this is the book.

Here , you will not only explores quite an interesting theme but constantly throws little twists at you and moments of "aww" as I call them.

Since separating from her husband and daughter it's main character Dr. Anna Fox who suffers from agoraphobia and lives a reclusive life at her large home in New York City, where she spends her days spying on her neighbours, until one day she witnesses something shocking in the window of the Russell’s home.... No more discussion about the storyline... Rest you have to discover.

This book has great pacing with rapid, thriller moments and some slower more tentative moments where we concentrate on the back story or delve deeper into Anna as a person.
There are a couple of plot twists that grip you and have you turning the pages quicker to see where the story is going next.

Though the film is there and if you haven't watched it just like me you are lucky... My opinion first read this beautiful book then watch it. This is a short read ... And yes you will definitely enjoy it. Anna as a narrator will definitely make you awake in the midnight.
