Kanha National Park located in the Madhya Pradesh state of India. It was given the status of the national park in 1955. In 1974, Kanha was declared as tiger reserve when Project Tiger Scheme launched.

Kanha National Park is one of the most beautiful parks of India. Kanha is located in central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh in India. Kanha got the national park status in 1955. 


In 1974, it came under Project Tiger and became a tiger reserve. Kanha is spread in an area of about 940 sq KMS. This Indian National Park has very thick flora of Bamboo and Sal trees as well streams and grasslands. It is the only home of highly endangered species as Barasingha.

The Banjar and Halon valley of Kanha National Park divide it into two zones as eastern and western and the same are well known for tiger and deer population.


The park is honored as one of the best preserved National Parks not only of India but also of Asia. Bamni Dadar is the finest point to view the sunset in Kanha.
